Review for Bring Me A Book Foundation, Redwood City, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

What a great organization! I loved all the books we got ready for kids, families, and schools. The company at the book assembly tables was friendly. The foundation is informative and nice.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the warehouse and in photos here.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

keep doing a good job!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

how well ready they were for us.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

friendly.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

give books to the world.

Ways to make it better...

there was a photo of the founder and a short bio.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

?

One thing I'd also say is that...

I love books for kids.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

feeling like I am making a difference in the local community

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

young, concerned about their community, friendly

send more books to more kids

Ways to make it better...

can't think of anything

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

getting more books for the volunteers to cover

One thing I'd also say is that...

the quality of the book covering is very high; they care about the level of work they do

Bring me a book is a great way to volunteer your time in a low-key, relaxed environment. There is time to chat with other volunteers and your time is used very effectively - knowing that you're getting a lot done for kids is a great feeling. And of course, you can't beat a free dinner! I would really recommend this event to anyone, especially those that may have limited mobility - it was great for me at seven months pregnant.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

knowing that what I am doing helps not only children but families to come together over something so important - education.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

sooo nice!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help families and kids all over the world!

Ways to make it better...

we sat on chairs with backs - not stools for two hours.

One thing I'd also say is that...

facility is very clean.

I've volunteered with this group on many occasions in the past and always had a wonderful time. The organizers really keep things moving well and the time just flies by. It's also such a great cause and they will answer any of your questions about their organization so that you know exactly why you're there. I recommend volunteering with this group if you are looking to participate with a good non profit and looking to have a fun time!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The social aspect of the evening

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Amazing! Super friendly and helpful

Ways to make it better...

The volunteer area was air conditioned
