J'Burgh offers awesome social, cultural, and educational opportunities to people like me, a graduate / professional student without a lot of time and money to spare. I find myself doing things I haven't done much before, like celebrating Shavuot, going to Friday night services, and signing up for Jewish learning classes, because J'Burgh makes it fun and easy. Plus, as someone who lives pretty far away from family, I really value J'Burgh giving me somewhere to go and a group to celebrate with on the bigger holidays.
