local newspapers and television, as well as the organizations it supports. The Swim raises a great amount of money each year for the Hospice Care Network and also supports the Maggie Fischer Memorial Scholarship Fund at St. Anthony's High School.

extremely committed to this cause and willing to do just about anything to make sure that the Swim is a success each year.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

possibly ruin the great feeling of the event. The best part of the Swim is that it is just what it says, a SWIM and not a race. All the swimmers jump in the water for the challenge and the cause!

Ways to make it better...

I could swim it! Everyone involved from swimmers to volunteers to donors raves about the event - the swim strives to grow each year both in number of swimmers and amount of donations.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

regulatory and liability issues which challenge any event that is run in open water with rapidly changing conditions. A great amount of planning goes into the event each year and a great deal of thanks is due to the board who runs the Swim!
