My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Mayyim Hayyim Living Waters Community Mikveh and Education, Newton, MA, USA
I have been a volunteer at many organizations for many years, including Girl Scouts, congregations, soup kitchens, refugee organizations, political action organizations and others. My experience at Mayyim Hayyim has been like no other. From the moment I walked in the door, I have felt welcome. The training materials and methodologies developed and shared are top notch, well thought out, and compelling. The ongoing training provided to mikveh guides have been informative, relevent and timely. The committment to making this an inviting, welcoming and nurturing place is evident from the moment you walk through the gate into the garden, before a client even walks through the door. People are free to express their Judaism, to become Jews, to heal, to mourn, to celebrate in ways that are meaningful to them. There is no other place quite like Mayyim Hayyim.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
my own spiritual growth and renewal and watching other people be transformed in their own transitional moments.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
helping people celebrate joyous lifecycle events and find meaning in more difficult transitions.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
warm, welcoming, sincere, and committed.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
more easily help replicate this experience in other Jewish communities--which it already does to a limited extent--as well as provide more training and educational services to teens and adults.
