My Nonprofit Reviews

Joy Picus
Review for Jewish World Watch, Encino, CA, USA
Jewish World Watch has made a difference. It has made a difference in the lives of the people who have been involved with it in Los Angeles and particularly the San Fernando Valley. And it has made a difference for the people in the refugee camps in Chad. Raising money for the Solar Cooker Project is an inspiring example. People will give money for a specific project, and it is easy to see what a change it brings. I care personally about violence against women. Solar Cookers reduce the opportunity for that violence, as well as making it possible for women to manufacture the cookers, and train others how to use them. I feel personally committed, involved and rewarded through my work with Jewish World Watch.

I have not personally experienced the results of this organization, but those who have visited the refugee camps report back on conversations with women who have experienced untold horrors but are rejuvenated by JWW's help

The staff is the best. Totally extraordinary, and committed. The Volunteer leadership is as good as I've ever found it, and I have been involved in many, many organizations over the years.

Devote its efforts to its mission--education and advocacy on behalf of those who have suffered egregious human rights violations, and not have to expend energy on fund raising!
