I have always had an interest in animals and in giving back to society, but with every organization I tried to join, I was told I was too young. When I came to know of the HSSV however, I was able to join their Compassion In Action program right away, subsequently volunteering at their summer camp for kids, and now being on their Youth Advisory Board for a year (and going into my next year). Not only are its facilities the cleanest I've ever seen, but it is the best place where so many animals can be taken care of at once. Furthermore, it has a variety of activities for everyone, allowing each and every one of us to find where our interest in giving (to animals) lies. I am a very proud member of the Humane Society and the extreme success that it is today.
