Review for Child Advocates of Silicon Valley Inc, Milpitas, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Child Advocates really puts their heart and soul into helping community volunteers have the proper tools, support, and care to make a difference in the lives of foster children.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the volunteers who have served and the children they have helped.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The volunteers.

Review for Vanished Children's Alliance, San Jose, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I worked for this organization for over a year. Even though I moved on my heart is still in this organization to this day. This is a non-profit where you can really feel the care, intention, and mission being lived out everyday by the staff, board members, and supporters. When a child goes missing, it is THEIR child too. When an organization wants to learn more about abduction safety, it becomes their mission to teach them. They are a staff of very few people, but the heart of millions. I would do whatever they asked of me because I believe in VCA.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the children who have been located because of VCA, in the faces of families who never gave up hope, in a person's face when they have learned the power of prevention, in the face of the donors who see their money working for a tangible goal.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

start a more grassroots approach to funding, get its name out in the community, and work towards the community supporting a worthy cause like this.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the staff...they are amazing.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

dynamic, wonderful, smart, intuitive, magnanimus, loving, inspirational...saints.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

be even better and be able to accomplish all the things they strive to do.

Ways to make it better...

I would have stayed. I never regret moving on, but a pice of me sstays there.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

money and recognition

One thing I'd also say is that...

if people would stop to notice them, they would see a rare thing...a non-profit that truly cares and has not lost sight of their mission.
