Review for Friendship Circle of Pittsburgh Inc, Pittsburgh, PA, USA
The Friendship Circle is magical -- especially when filled with the energy and smiling faces of the clients it serves. Providing inclusive programs and activities allows people to make meaningful connections, both to the organization and -- more importantly -- to each other.
Review for J'Burgh, Pittsburgh, PA, USA
I've attended a few J'Burgh events and found them to be not only fun but educational. In January, the group organized a Q&A session with a local Holocaust survivor who escaped a concentration camp and joined a group of resistance fighters in what is now Belarus. Afterward, the group went to a theater to watch the motion picture "Defiance." This was followed by dinner and drinks at a local establishment where people discussed the film and other topics. As a non-Jew, the friends I've made through J'Burgh have helped me better understand the Jewish faith and issues which impact Jewish people locally and around the world.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
expand its services to not only make Pittsburgh a better and more enjoyable place for young Jewish students and professionals but do so in a way that impacts all of Pittsburgh through festivals, educational events and other types of social gatherings.
