My Nonprofit Reviews
Glitzy G.
Review for Society Of Singers, Thousand Oaks, CA, USA
I donate and support the vital role SOCIETY of SINGERS (SOS) organization provides to not just the vocal/music industry, but as mentors to new upcoming artists, as supporters to the community and the Arts, and as supporters of continuing musical education to the community. Although headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, SOS provides supportive services nationwide. I have been to many SOS events, and I have witnessed the positive role this incredible organization gives to so many. I urge everyone to re-discover music and singing, how important the Arts are in their communities and to support the SOS organization. SOS is making a big impact on all our communities in the USA!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
I have had mentors from this organization assist me over the years. SOS "pays forward" quite a bit, especially through it's members.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Hire more assistance, if through volunteers or whatever means. I've seen the personnel work the events, and they are stretched thin. SOS has several notable members and the events must go without glitches!

What specific problem, purpose, priority, or project prompted your gift?
SOS needs donations to pay staff, "pay forward" in support of other members/artists/musicians, and to offer their services nationwide. Since the recession, donations have been down, so to have additional help (as little as I have at the moment), makes a difference.
Why did you make your donation at this time?
I care about The Arts and the current status of the creative arts in our nation. We need to mentor young persons which will keep them in school, make them better people in society, and help them to succeed in all areas of life. We NEED to bring music back into the schools across this nation!
What would you tell others about this organization?
This organization makes a difference to the young, the established, the retired. Music is a universal language that everyone understands. Continuing support to SOS allows music to continue, to grow and to flourish.
