Review for Schoerke Foundation, Williamsville, NY, USA
I thank Madam Melissa, Mr. Ortman, Mr. DeGraft, and all the people at the Schoerke Foundation for supporting Heritage Academy. I live in Tema, a big city in Ghana. And as everyone knows, the best schools are in the city, right? So when I got the chance to visit Heritage Academy--which is in a small village, I didn't expect much at all. But from the moment I entered that school compound, I knew I was in a special place. The buildings are not beautiful like my school in the city but the feeling of Heritage is very sweet and happy. I have been going back to Heritage Academy every summer for the past three years. I always talk about Heritage at my school in Tema; and some of my school mates think I am a fool to spend my vacation time in the village. But every year, as I step on the sacred grounds of Heritage Academy, I know I would leave at the end of summer with a huge smile on my face and happiness in my heart. Even though I am one year younger than all the TAs (teaching assistants), I have learned all the hard courses already so this summer I will be a TA in a business or comprehension class. At Heritage, I've learned how to treat everyone with fairness and respect, and always expect the best from people. Heritage is a school of integrity, principles, happiness and learning. I love this school...and Schoerke Foundation too!
