As a student volunteer, it's hard to make the time to focus on both schoolwork and community service, but rearranging my schedule for the purpose of the Humane Society's Compassion in Action program was worth the effort. During the short amount of time I spent in this 8-session time, the message of the HSSV was clear. The team there is so compassionate and so loving, I felt welcomed and I couldn't wait to come back to see what more this shelter had to offer to the people and the animals. The facility was clean, the smiles on the staffs' and volunteers' faces were welcoming, and the animals in safe hands couldn't have made me feel happier for them. I cannot wait to come back soon to see how far those animals have progressed, thanks to the Humane Society of the Silicon Valley.
