Review for Women's Intercultural Center Inc, Anthony, NM, USA
I volunteered at the Center because the Technology Director Saif recruited me on to do some construction at the Center. I honestly must say I though it would be a simple job get in and get out. Now I'm not saying that the job was hard it was actually pretty simple but I have never been so astounded by a non-profit. This was truly an amazing organization as you can see the results of the organizations impact on the community the second you walked in the door. All I was doing was basic work such as fixing the roof and replacing doors, but everyone there treated me like family. They fed me lunches and brought me drinks because they were thankful for the work I was doing. Although what impressed me the most was that they kept inviting me to join them for their classes. I decided to take some time and check out the painting class. I was hesitant at first because I can't draw or paint but they welcomed me with open arms. Everyone in the class including the instructor walked me through and gave me great tips on how to paint. They were patient with me and needless to say in the end I learned a lot and was very proud of my painting. No other place can match up to this center as they are truly welcoming and the second you come in you feel like family. I send my best to the future of the Center.

Just by entering the doors and doing my volunteer work I was accepted as a family member at the Center. Everyone treated me with respect and invited me to attend classes. I saw how much of an impact this center is doing to the community. Anthony needs a center like this because they are always there to help the community with any issues they may have.

Expand because that would be really great for the community and because I would always be happy to volunteer again to make the center bigger.

This was honestly one of the best volunteer experiences I had as I truly did not want to go. Although I promise I will be back to help out this amazing center.
