My husband is a Captain in the US Navy Reserves and has served 8 tours post 9/11 including 3 tours in Iraq, GITMO & Africa. He received a purple heart for the injuries he suffered in an IED explosion in Iraq. His service dog, Rocco has helped by husband regain his life. I will always be grateful to Shari Duval & her team for founding the K9s For Warriors' program. Our Nation's heroes deserve the very best and that is what K9s For Warriors is. They provide their services at NO COST to the troops & veterans they serve. They help families get their "warriors" back again. God Bless the K9s For Warriors program. I believed so strongly in what they are doing I left a private sector job to become The Director of Development at K9s For Warriors. It is the greatest honor of my life to be a small part of the program helping our nation's heroes recover from war.
