Review for GREY2K USA Worldwide, Arlington, MA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The work that Grey2K USA Worldwide did during the Florida campaign to end greyhound racing was tireless, effective and crucial to victory for these innocent dogs. No question was too minor to be answered, no concern too small to follow up on. Their organizational abilities and their commitment to telling the truth about greyhound racing was a big factor, if not the biggest in freeing greyhounds from the daily suffering they endure in racing gulags.

Review for GREY2K USA Education Fund, Arlington, MA, USA

One thing that made a huge difference in defeating greyhound racing in Florida was education. Once the voters found out the truth about the cruelty and exploitation of dog racing they wanted no part of it. The Grey2K Education Fund played a crucial and effective role in that part of the battle. I believe without their commitment and expertise greyhounds would still be suffering in Florida.

It is time for this cruelty to end and we will not rest until this goal is reached and the greyhounds receive the second chance they deserve. Thanks for your support!

In the 1950's there were actually articles written by veterinarians explaining why greyhounds would not make good pets. We've come a long way since then and now greyhounds are beloved companions in thousands of homes, therapy dogs, agility dogs, canine assistants, and the list goes on, all because of the efforts of organizations like the Grey 2K Education Fund. This organization works tirelessly to help the public better understand the plight of racing greyhounds, and the joy and love they can bring into adoptive homes. A racing greyhound at the end of its career has three options: death, being sold to medical research, or being adopted. Thanks to the efforts of the Grey 2K Education fund more and more rescued racers are being given a chance to live on as pets.

Tertullian said “The first reaction to truth is hatred” and you can certainly see that in the virulence of the reaction to Grey 2K from members of the greyhound racing industry. Grey 2K was substantially responsible for ending greyhound racing in Massachusetts; they have been involved in campaigns to end the cruelty of greyhound racing from Arizona to Florida, and have been successful. They constantly shine the light of public awareness on an industry that treats living, sentient creatures as commodities to be used and discarded. It's no wonder they've made enemies, but the enemies they've made are fighting to maintain a brutish industry built on brutality and one that, thanks to the efforts of Gery 2K is slowly moving to the ash heap of history.
