Review for Friends Of The Hidden River, Stanwood, WA, USA
The Friends of the Hidden River is an outstanding group that have done wonders in our community! This small group of teacher-environmental educators are the ones that got King County, and the entire community on board to agree on, the help fund a $10.3 Million dollar Environmental Center and community park in the Woodiville, WA area. They raised over $1.3M themselves for this project. Now they are working on cool new environmental programming. Recently the Friends of the Hidden River created a cutting edge STEM environmental challenge summer at the new Brightwater Center for summer 2012. They are an exciting group to watch in action. Small, powerful, and great for our community!
