I heard that Grace had a shih-tzu available for adoption. While I was not planning to get another dog at this time, when I learned she was disabled I felt compelled to meet her. I fell in love with her and I really felt like I could provide her the home and love that she needed. I was pleased to learn that several people had asked to adopt her and they were turned down. Grace understood that she needed a home that could provide her with extra care and expertise. I used to be a vet tech, and I also have a disabled cat. I was pleased to see the questions on their adoption application. They understand that not everyone should be allowed to adopt a pet. She is now part of our family and brings us so much joy. Grace saved her from euthanasia. They understood that just because she was special needs didn't mean that there wasn't a place for her in this world.
