Review for Houston Food Bank, Houston, TX, USA
I have volunteered at this organization with my church group as well as having been a donor for years. They are a highly efficient organization, their warehouses are tidy and orderly and the food is well accounted for. They serve numerous smaller food banks around the city and benefit the donors providing large in-kind donations (grocery stores, etc) by accepting the large donations and re-distributing it to where it is needed at the time, as opposed to a small pantry getting a large donation that it can't use efficiently (500 boxes of beans). It is a great organization and serves the neighbors and friends in Houston that need a bit of help to make it to the next month.
