Review for Diabetes Partnership Of Cleveland, Gates Mills, OH, USA
Diabetes Partnership Cleveland has group for women with diabetes called Dive Empowerment Group that meets every second Saturday of the month. This group has taught me so much about managing my diabetes. I have learned nutritional facts, and about carb counting and how many carbs per meal I can have. I have learned how and when to check my blood glucose with my meter. I have learned how to help with diabetes complications such as foot or eye problems. The group is also a support group with the members encouraging each other so that we do not get depressed. We also learn crafts to keep us happy. For instance, we learned to make bracelets for our medic alert metals. One a year we have a pitty party just to voice our depressing moments because of our chronic illness which realy has helped me cope with the desease. I have learned so much from this group than I every learned from my doctor. This group has enriched my life tremendously!
