Review for Woodstock Farm Sanctuary , High Falls, NY, USA
I am fortunate to live near the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary. After driving by the serene scene of cows, sheep and goats living free, I stopped by one day. After talking to Elana ( Program Coordinator for WFAS) I was invited to meet with founders Jenny Brown and Doug Abel. Through my volunteer efforts with WFAS I have gotten to know all of it's staff. They share a passion and belief in the right of all sentient beings to live out their lives in peace. They "walk the walk"and are as a group the most committed, hard-working and mindful group of people I have met. Go to the Sanctuary if you are able, it's a 2 hour ride from NYC, in the Catskill Mountains, and well worth the trip. If you can't actually visit, you can check out their youtube channel and see the compelling and uplifting stories of the farm animals who have found a haven in Willow New York.
