Review for Tabby's Place: a Cat Sanctuary, Inc., Ringoes, NJ, USA
Been a volunteer and have gifted sponsorship of a few cats to my brother. Under normal circumstances, TP is open to the public and volunteers can build meaningful relationships with the cats. It's helpful for understanding your own feline and to enhance his/her daily life. Being a volunteer is a great way to know a cat you might adopt but also to appreciate the wide array of character traits a cat may possess. All are loved there; it is obvious. The staff show a tremendous dedication, often taking home special cases to foster themselves. Facility is extremely clean and only crates/confines a cat for a medical or dietary issue. As a volunteer, I miss them when they leave, whether they "graduate" (get adopted) or head to "Rainbow Bridge." They work hard to put off the latter as long as possible.
Review for Wildlife Center of Virginia, Waynesboro, VA, USA
What I enjoy about this group includes their dedication to all forms of wildlife, their patience in explaining issues to educate people, their ability to advise members of the public about dealing with wildlife problems and that their own state recognizes their accomplishments enough to entrust them with important cases, like the three bald eaglets from the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. Unfortunately, at the present time, I am unable to donate as much as I would like to do.
