Review for The YP Foundation, New Delhi, , India

Rating: 5 stars

The Youth Parliament Foundation is just close to being eternal. I'm a school student, and heard a lot about YP Foundation, ever since I was a 10th grader. I wished for a ray of hope and there i found The Youth Parliament Foundation. I recently met the team, on the 16th of September. It was great. They make one so confortable, that the person eventually lives on the fact that he/she were a part of the organization for the past several years [contradictory]. Their SIX tremendous projects state all facts happening around and the need to spread awareness. Elaboration on their work from us rookies, will definitely be encouraging for them and for the positive zeal. I had never thought that I could atleast think/make-up to volunteer for this youth forum, but once that you get familiar and known with, nothing can stop you. PROJECTS : 1. Blending Spectrum - deals with health-care and non-formal education to the urban street children in Delhi. Starting from the seeds. 2. Project 19 - deals with issues related to HIV/AIDS and Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights. Seeds grow older. 3. The Butterfly Project - deals with training young film-makers and writers. Seeds and roots and words and depiction. 4. The RTI Programme - deals with the legislative systems in our country by including great young minds. Shoot system! 5. VOICES (The School Project) - introduces workshops on issues related with peer-pressure and mental stress of students. Seeds and roots with stablised stem and branches. 6. Silhouette - deals with performing/visual arts. The seeds>roots>stem>branches>leaves. The tree is YP and the results are thereby, its Fruits! :) Spread the word. Much Love and Regards. Tanu

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Till now the meeting. Next > Vikalp!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would definitely want to that, BUT only once I find something imperfect. Which is just not possible in their case.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Really havent officially worked yet, which I mentioned before. But great minds at work!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Project Heads/Staff Members.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Make a change, with the slightest ray of hope. 'We're the world'.

Ways to make it better...

I would've joined hands much before and have been more regular [which I awfully REGRET] :')

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

None.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Winning for them is nothing, but a path of definite ideals to make a change. So make way for the CHANGE.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

One time

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009

Role:  Volunteer & Work starts with 'Vikalp'.
