Sunadhar Mirgan, a resident of Balenga village located in Kosagumuda Block of Nabarangpur district earns his livelihood primarily from one acre of land, the only asset under his possession. He has four sons and one daughter, all got separated after their marriage. He was under high depression and totally clueless about what to do after the heavy flood of 2011 which completely destroyed his paddy field. Not a single crop plant could be saved. At this time the VDC (village development committee) constituted as a result of the project interventions came to his rescue. After being informed about the committee and the benefits people getting from this institution, Mirgan approached the committee. He became an active member of the committee and took 30 Kgs of paddy seed. In return he agreed to rework on his field along with his wife to remove sand deposited by contributing their labour. Now the land is ready for next kharif paddy cultivation.

Myself Jayanti Nag (19) from Sargiguda village of Titlagarh Block. I belong to a very poor family. I have 3 three sisters and 1 brother. My father is a weaver (bamboo). He is selling all bamboo products in the weekly market. He was the only bread earner. Our entire family was depending on him on all aspect. When I came to knew that UDYAMA organization have started a skill development Training Centre. So I immediately took admission and completed successfully the 4 months Tailoring Training. Presently I am engaged in one of the lady tailoring shop of Titlagarh and earning Rs.60-70 rupees in a day. Now I feel very happy because I am supporting my family. Gradually I am able to stitch different types of ladies garments. I hope and believe in the coming days to start my own shop and earn 200-300 a days.. So I am very much thankful to my trainer and UDYAMA for providing this opportunity to earn our livelihood.

Now their total Bank balance amount is RS 6,580/- .

Now they know the proper use of the solar light. Now they are managing on their own If they faced any problems then usually call or inform to the Udyama staff for their problem solution. This project is properly implemented in this village and became fruitful.

If some extra solar lights will provide in this village it is so good for the village
