Review for The Center for Leadership Initiatives, Vancouver, , Canada
When I first started in Jewish nonprofit, there were no structures for developing young initiatives, or young professionals with an eye toward contributing to the Jewish world. CLI, through some of its initiatives, most notably Kivun, the ROI Summit and the network known as the ROI Community, are making solid investments in innovative minds and ideas, giving them the support structure to succeed and providing resources, training and development to enhance the overall package that each innovator brings to the communal table. Of equal importance, CLI connects these young innovators with their peers, encouraging them to cross-collaborate, information-share, and socialize. This opportunity to connect with people from other cultures and countries creates a wider understanding of global Jewish peoplehood. Additionally, it creates an international community of people who support each other, and embrace and develop the changes that will shape the Jewish community of today and tomorrow.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
My personal relationships, which have been immeasurably enhanced by my affiliations with ROI, and my professional realm, because CLI has connected me with people and projects around the world that seek my advice and help.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the exposure to different cultures and experiences; it really helps expand understanding of what the global Jewish community looks like, what issues other communities are grappling with, & what steps they are taking to assert Jewish identity and meaning.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
top-notch, diverse, energetic, enthusiastic and fun.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
revolutionize the structure of the Jewish world, integrate some innovations into existing organizations, train institutions to think more innovatively, arrange local gatherings for effective networking, provide support locally & internationally...

Review for IKAR, Los Angeles, CA, USA
I'd heard IKAR was good. But come on - I was a hardened New Yorker; nothing could impress me...and then it did. By my fourth Shabbat, ten people greeted me on my way from the front door to my seat. I turned to the gentleman sitting next to me, and said, "I can't believe I know so many people here!" "That's why they call it community," he said. Plus, my Yom Kippur at IKAR two weeks ago was the first time in a long time that I felt connected to the spirit of the holiday, the community and to myself, all at the same time...and I made it through the fast with barely a headache. If that's not an endorsement, I don't know what is.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
complete its plan to build and create a Hebrew school that would better serve parents with children in the community (one of which I am not).
