Review for Seniors First, Auburn, CA, USA
My sister started doing research on available help for seniors and their families when my Dad's Dementia started getting more serious. We found Seniors First in Auburn California and called them for advice and support...this was Oct. of 2010. Our initial experience was better than we could have hoped for. Their information specialist not only answered our questions, but suggested looking into available help that we hadn't even considered. One of the best parts of this experience was the warmth and caring that we felt through their service. We ended up speaking with their Dementia department as well as learning about how to maneuver through the complicated systems of Medicare, Medicaid and Medical. They had rides, meals, handyman help and a resource person for housing placement. Dad passed away about one year later, but we didn't forget Seniors First. I ended up volunteering there in order to help keep this wonderful organization going.
