When I decided to get involved in grant writing, I researched a number of organizations before offering my time. I chose Wells Bring Hope because it has an excellent mission, is very focused (rather than just asking for donations to "help people in need"), and because of how much goes directly to the cause. But it gets even better... due to their partnership with World Vision, a small amount of money pays off for over a decade. Longer, actually, when you consider the long-term impact on the life of a girl who can be educated and employed, rather than carry water all day.
