Review for IKAR, Los Angeles, CA, USA
When I moved to LA and began work in the Entertainment world I felt lost. People seemed fake, only cared about who I worked for and how I might help them get ahead. Discovering IKAR was like hitting gold. The environment was inviting and still challenging. I learned so much about who I am and my role in the world away from my profession. I realized how much room I had to grow within a city that can often feel stifeling. And I met people who were eager to help me, to support me and encourage me to make my dreams my reality.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
has been their openess to ideas and their willingness to support a great idea and open it up/make it available to the community.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
unlike any I've met anywhere else!
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
continue to operate (i hope)! I fear what might happen if they don't find some significant monetary support ASAP!
Ways to make it better...
the community had their own space rather then renting out of the JCC. they truly need a home that is authentically theirs!
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Not having the money/finacial backing they need to truly facilitate all of the programming desired by the community.
