My volunteer time with Mission Guatemala was one of the best mission experiences that I've had. Tom Heaton and the project staff efficiently planned our time so that all members of our team, regardless of age or experience, could make meaningful contributions in multiple ways. We worked hard, played hard, and learned a great deal about the culture and the people of Guatemala. What most impressed me is the relationships that have been built with the local folks. They are treated as valued partners and stakeholders who take an active part in creating sustainable changes in their communities. It was a pleasure to be a part of such a caring, respectful, and organized group -- my thanks go to Tom, Dave, Noe, and all of those who made our team feel so welcomed!
