Review for IKAR, Los Angeles, CA, USA
IKAR is one of the most exciting and innovative spiritual communities I have ever been a part of. IKAR is a young and dynamic congregation dancing on the edges of serious Jewish engagement promoting a solid awareness that as Jews we have a clear mandate to work to help repair the world and make it a better In addition to our young members, IKAR is now attracting middle age members who can appreciate the personalized and unique way that this community addresses everything that it does. It is a true blessing to have Rabbi Sharon Brous as our spiritual leader.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
seeing the ways that this organization and the rabbi is able to bring Jews together in serious Jewish engagement. It feels like IKAR is one huge caring community.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
that it challenges me to grow, learn, study and engage in more gemilut hasadim and tzedakah opportunities.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
amazing. Everyone is treated as a blessing with unlimited potential. It simply doesn't get any better learning from Rabbi Sharon Brous. Melissa Balaban, the CEO, is a wonderous magician of organizational excellence and caring outreach.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
*open a preschool for the 40+ children being born into this community each year. *hire Rabbi Brous an Assistant Rabbi *Purchase a building to give this community a personal home. *open an adult Jewish studies center
