I volunteered with All Hands in Japan for a week in August 2011. Along with so much else, I truly appreciated that there was a wide range of work we could chose from, community events that All Hands organized the volunteers to be able to participate in, and flexibility in commitment. I was unfortunately only able to stay for a week, but I gained SO much from the experience, not only working with amazing people around the world who share the same passion, but also through meeting and interacting with the community affected. I feel so fortunate to have stumbled upon this organization and thankful for All Hands for providing people an easy opportunity to help out and make as much of a difference as we can.
