Review for NECHAMA - Jewish Response to Disaster, Saint Paul, MN, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Over the past several years I’ve worked with Nechama on two separate occasions; Nashiville, Tennessee and Louisville, Kentucky. On both occasions the Nechama team was extremely professional and dedicated to supporting the local community. There dedication and commitment to supporting others is evident by their actions. Nechama provides coaching / training for the other volunteers. Nechama show compassion and support for the people effected and Nechama truly makes a difference in peoples lives. Most importantly, Nechama not only takes care of those effected by the disaster, they have a way of influencing others to make a positive difference.

What one change could this group make that would improve your volunteer experience?

Nothing, I wish more people could experience the work they do and support their effort!

Did your volunteer experience have an effect on you? (teaching you a new skill, or introducing new friends, etc.)

Yes, a strong effect both in teaching me new skills and meeting friends for life. On several occasions after this work I volunteered for other mission activites.

How did this volunteer experience make you feel?

Someone once told me, "You get back so much more than you give out." I never understood that statement till I true gave my time and effort through mission / volunteer work.
