Review for NECHAMA - Jewish Response to Disaster, Saint Paul, MN, USA
In April/May 2011, Memphis, Tennessee experienced a 100 year flood along the Mississippi River. Many homes were flooded in our city and county. The local chapter of NECHAMA joined with Methodists, Muslims, other denominations, nonprofit and members of the business community in helping to remove debris and deconstruct affected homes. Their willingness to lend a helping hand will forever be remembered in our community. Thank you NECHAMA! --Loretta Hurt, Communications Officer--Mid-South VOAD | Emergency Support Coordinator ESF 14 -- Emergency Operations Center | Project Manager--United Way of the Mid-South
