I am a journalist who covers the work of many environmental and animals rights organizations. I knew Pasado's Safe Haven when it existed as just a piece of undeveloped property...a dream. It's a magical place where abused, abandoned, or lost creatures can live out their lives being cared for in a loving environment. While there are many cat and dog shelters, Pasado's stands alone in this region as a place that takes in other domesticated animals such as llamas, cows, turkeys (!) and more--animals that would've been put down because there's no where else for them to go. I have served as a donor, volunteer, advisor and overall cheerleader for what will always be a 5-star charity to me!
