Review for Pardada Pardadi Educational Society, New Delhi, , India

Rating: 5 stars

I have been working at Pardada Pardadi Vocational School since January teaching English to girls in classes 8 and 9. As I've been here quite a while, I have been able to see the impact this school has on the lives of rural girls. These girls are smart and confident and happy. Not only does the school provide them with an education, it teaches them that they are worth something. That they can be active in their own lives, and choose what they want to do.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing how much more outgoing and confident the schoolgirls are than their counterparts working in the fields.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

give it a little more organization. The school is still young and they are figuring things out.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

getting to know people in the villages. Meeting the families of the girls and seeing how much their lives have changed for the better.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

teachers dedicated to empowering women. Women who overcame obstacles and opposition of their families to become teachers.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Expand into the surrounding villages, empowering even more girls. It could give every single student the opportunity to see more of the world. It could change the lives of ten million Indian girls.

Ways to make it better...

they had known how to use me when I came. I spent a lot of time with very little work to do.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

it's organization. Again. The school is struggling against itself - vocational work is competing with academic work. They need to work out which is most important and focus on that.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week
