I am not only a donor, I am also a dedicated volunteer. I have been giving money and time to SGK in honor of and later in memory of my friend and neighbor Dorrie, who fought the good fight for 7 years, all while sucking every bit of good out of the life she was given. She was a supporter of Planned Parenthood and she was a dedicated Christian woman, who died surrounded by her family and with her pastor at her side. If she supported Planned Parenthood with her dollars and her will, surely she is turning in her grave at the hyper-politicization of SGK. So SGK can forgo my dollars, my time and my dedication, and my walks will now be solitary ones along the shore or in the redwood forests as I chat with my friend Dorrie. SGK herself is probably turning over in her own grave if she contemplates the general uselessness of the charity named for her.
