Planned Parenthood debacle aside, the Komen Foundation in reality does very little to effectively fight breast cancer. Raising awareness of getting an exam -- is that worth a half a billion annual budget? If they were serious about this disease, they would be advocating dietary change for the population since the strongest research points to a shift toward a vegetarian diet as the best prevention and even treatment. This is a waste of an organization, run by professional fundraisers and corporate goons which is really doing very little good in the world. They deserve to go away, if the measure is how effective they are at their stated mission. In reality, they are completely totally ineffective, and donating money to this greed-driven outfit is throwing it away.
