I have been donating to SGK for at least 20 years. It is what I consider my "Pet Charity" (no disrespect intended) I even got my boss at work to purchase SGK promo items to give to customers and then give a donation on top of that for each item we gave. We have done this at work every October for three years. No More. When I read about SGK dropping their funding to Planned Parenthood I was shocked and appalled. Politics can not be applied to breast cancer. Underpaid/privileged women need these mammograms. Especially with Health Insurance so high priced, a lot of women get their checkups and mammograms at Planned Parenthood. I am able to pay for health insurance and have not needed to go to Planned Parenthood for years but they were my only option for a time and they were there for me. My daughter goes to PP now, as she can not afford health insurance. That being a whole other subject. I am able to contribute to the charity of my choice and have chosen SGK Several times a year, I guess I will choose differently from now on, because we still do have a choice in this country.
