I am a volunteer who was banned from the farm and all future events because I, along with several others, were enraged regarding a dog named Rio. A blind and deaf dog who, because of their neglect and the in-actions of Greg the caretaker to get Rio's needs met, was put to death on Dec 21,2011. He has been removed from the website but some of us have pictures of him. A trainer had given instructions on how to train Rio and there is a video showing that Rio was able to "get it". But the training did not continue..nor did the items get ordered by Greg..although he said they were coming from "Australia"! I was at the farm almost every Sunday for over 5 years. I adopted a dog from Pasado's. I started to notice "changes" about 2 years ago...No more "real" dog pack...dogs separated in isolation for WAY too long..no training, cats left in cages, dogs used only for the funds they could generate (see Nadia), things going downhill. I began to ask questions and found out that there was a new board of directors. I have seen ahorrible video of cows left in awful conditions at another site. PLEASE DO NOT DONATE TO THEM. The salaries of the CEO and admistrator are reasons enough to NOT donate. This is the truth, it can all be checked. We are not disgruntled employees. We were volunteers who saw this beautiful place decline.
