Last Hope is a non-profit 501c3 shelter in Merced County. They are the only shelter that actively rescues, shelters and rehomes dogs and cats from Merced County. Founded by Mona, (Renate's) daughter as a cat shelter, that helped rescue and spay and neuter thousands of feral cats, the shelter now rescues dogs, cats horses, goats, and pot belly pigs. Unlike rescues in other counties, that can work with other 501's in their community, they stand alone, and has the burden of often being the only firewall between life and death.
