Review for League For Animals And People Of The Summit, Frisco, CO, USA
LAPS is a wonderful organization run by volunteers only - no staff, no overhead. The mission can be read in the previous review, but the feedback from animal owners who have been helped by LAPS is heartwarming and often brings those of us to tears who receive requests for help. We offer low cost spay/neuter services, as well as help to pet owners facing financial challenges in caring for their pets. It is a most rewarding experience to be a part of LAPS - particularly to be involved in their largest fundraiser, the K94K in Frisco, Co, where hundreds of dogs and owners run and walk to raise money for the organization! The cooperative effort with the Summit County Animal Shelter is also very rewarding and practical.
