We had just lost our dog to cancer. I was scheduled to volunteer the next day walking the adoptable dogs at HART. One of them was a mixed breed with lots of energy and an obvious love of people. We adopted her the next day. She is now a therapy dog visiting patients in the hospital and special needs classrooms in the county schools. Without HART we wouldn't have found such a wonderful companion dog.
