My Nonprofit Reviews

Frank M
Review for Center for Animal Research and Education Inc, Bridgeport, TX, USA
As big cat researchers we first went to CARE years ago to do an 'internship' where we learned to feed, handle and care for tiger kittens and juveniles. We've been back at least once a year ever since. Indeed, we've been conducting behavioral research at CARE for years now. We return because the cats are expertly and lovingly cared for, the already very good facilities continue to improve and expand, and because the cats there simply thrive. And because Heidi, the director, has devoted her life to these cats: she raised them, she loves them, and she is hellbent on providing them a safe, healthy, and enriched environment for the duration of their lives. By initiating and promoting research in nutrition, behavior, and physiology CARE has and will continue to enhance our knowledge of these apex predators, and impact the quality of life of countless captive big cats.
