We found Lake County via petfinder.com when we were thinking about getting a new doggie in Jan 2011. Having lost our other dog when he died in October 2010, the pain was too much to bear. Was it time for us to look for another dog? Then we saw a photo of "Simon".....and contacted LCAS to inquire. They were so wonderful from start to finish, and a couple of days later, when we met "Simon", we knew that it was meant to be. Karen and "Simon"s foster mom Eliza stayed in touch with us via phone and e-mail until the day we went back to pick him up and take him home. Now it has been a year, and "Bosco" is the joy of our lives. This is a case where the dog (and LCAS) truly "rescued" us -- and we will always be so grateful! Teresa and Steve Schacher, San Ramon, CA
