Review for Center for Animal Research and Education Inc, Bridgeport, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been to C. A. R. E. many times and my brother and sister in law even adopted Pawi for years. The love and devotion that the volunteers and C.A.R.E.takers all have for these lions, tigers, cougars, llamas, coati and raccoon monkey things (lemurs) is astounding. When they lose an animal due to disease or age it hits them as hard as losing a child, for the love they have for them is that of a parent and child. They know the personality of each and every animal there and take time with them to truly understand their hearts. The pictures are from BigCatDerek.

My family and I have always been in love with large cats. When my brother in law found this place and raved about it we had to go. Seeing how much the people there care about the cats and the cats feel the same way, shows how much they have invested in them and truly care for them. They need all the help they can get for building bigger and better enclosures, repairs, food, and stimulus items for the cats. They care not only about their physical well being, but their mental as well. I do wish they were closer so I could go more often and volunteer, but it is also good they are where they are at because it gives them the ability to expand and not overwhelm the cats with sounds of the city.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing how it changed my brother in law from someone who was anti social and did not care about the impacts of life on others. He adopted on of the cats for 2 years before moving out of state and misses the cats deeply.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

get the word out more, send flyers to local schools for awareness and tours

Thank you so much for the great review! You are absolutely right that we need to advertise more. I really like the idea about sending information to schools, we love being able to work with school age children since they are the ones that will continue our work and protect these animals when we are gone. We so appreciate your support!
