My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Center for Science in the Public Interest, Washington, DC, USA
Among its many more notable functions, this organization is looking out for Americans and doing the dirty work of exposing the deceptive food marketing practices of multinational food corporations. Not only this, but it works hard to educate the public on eating more healthfully. In particular, I love Nutrition Action newsletter which is put out by the CSPI. It is sometimes written in a humorous style that will tickle your funny bone. In particular, one of the issues featured an interview with Brian Wansink, professor of nutrition at Cornell. After I read this, it left me wanting to know more. In my losing 20 pounds this past year, I am sure that Nutrition Action newsletter has helped. Other articles tackle tough issues like diabetes management, reading vitamin labels and so much more. As a citizen concerned about the quality and options of food in America, I can't recommend the work of this organization enough.
