Review for SonRise Equestrian Foundation, Danville, CA, USA
At SonRise, every volunteer's time and energy is valued, whether you are mucking stalls, grooming horses, or working with the teaching and sidewalking teams and the riders themselves. Better still, you always know exactly where you can help and what to do, thanks to Miriam and the passionate volunteers, some of who have been there since the start. I learned so much every day about horses and people, I felt like I should have been paying them.
Review for California Shakespeare Theater, Berkeley, CA, USA
As the Berkeley High School drama teacher, I have known many of my students who have been very inspired and challenged by Cal Shakes Programs during the summer. Cal Shkaes teachers don't water the content down for kids and they hire kick-but directors and teachers. Stage combat, high-stakes acting, dramaturgy, this is the place you want your kids to go for real theatre work that will truly impact their lives.
