Review for Wildlife Conservation Network, Inc., San Francisco, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars   Featured Review

I've been a supporter of WCN since before it was WCN -- when the executive director of WCN was raising funds for just one conservationist. I've watched WCN come into being and grow into an outstanding organization. I love the fact that each conservationist added to the "WCN family" must be actively working on changing community/governmental attitudes toward their research animal thereby greatly improving the likelihood of the continued existence of their research subject. I appreciate knowing exactly what my money is being used for, and I very much appreciate knowing if I designate a specific project then 100% of my donation goes to that program. I know of very few situations where 100% of a donation actually goes to the desired program. I urge you to check out WCN and join us!

Review for Pets Are Wonderful Support (PAWS), San Francisco, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I am both a volunteer and donor for this very fine organization. I've known of their work for years; now that I've retired, I'm able to volunteer for various activities and events. I would encourage anyone with a love for companion critters to look into this group. Better yet - come with a check when you come to the volunteer orientation meeting!

Review for Pets Unlimited, San Francisco, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been a client of Pets Unlimited for decades. I briefly went to a few other clinics, but came back to stay permanently. The doctors are extremely knowledgeable AND compassionate. Their rates are very reasonable. They provide free services to Guide Dogs for the Blind; they also provide services to clients of PAWS (Pets Are Wonderful Support), a group that provides support to pet owners who are elderly, ill, or otherwise incapacitated. Pets also rescues animals from over crowded shelters, thereby saving the animals' lives by getting the critters into the Pets shelter where they can find a new home. I could go on to talk about the other nonprofit groups Pets helps, but this is already too long. Although I have now lost all my pets, I continue to donate to Pets Unlimited because they are such a good organization.

Review for The Marine Mammal Center, Sausalito, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been very impressed by this organization ever since I first learned of it many years ago. Not only have they contributed to the rescue of many many marine mammals, they have also made significant contributions to the science behind effective diagnosis and treatment of the critters they rescue and rehabilitate. They are often the driving force behind helping whales get back to the ocean when they have wandered into the Bay. All in all, a terrific group.
