I am a fifth generation Spanish Colonial artisan. I never gave that fact its proper respect until having children of my own. And, without the resources of the Spanish Colonial Arts Society I am certain that I and hundreds of other generational artist would not have picked up the torch to learn and practice the traditional materials and methods or learned the amazing historical tales of our region and our families. In embracing this part of my heritage, I have connected in my soul with all those that came before me that built a foundation for the culture and life in this region. This is the only organization whose sole mission is to preserve and promote the endangered Spanish Colonial Arts. Please support them!
