Review for Ten Thousand Villages, Utah, Salt Lake Citv, UT, USA

Rating: 5 stars

This organization goes above and beyond a lot of other organizations in promoting sustainable global communities. It is a great way for people in Salt Lake to learn about fair trade and how important it is to be aware of our impact in this world!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The Children's Cultural Program. Kids learn SO much about how connected they are to the rest of the world, and that education is invaluable.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Let them be more than JUST a fair trade store. There is so much more to fair trade education than selling artisan crafts - though that also makes the organization great!

How does this organization compare with others in the same sector?

Quite well

How much of an impact do you think this organization has?

A lot

Will you recommend this organization to others?

Review for Youthlinc, Salt Lake City, UT, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have volunteerd with YouthLINC since I was 15 - 8 great years of being involved with an incredible organization. I think the best thing these guys do is get people involved locally! You really can't understand the whole picture of being a service-minded individual without understanding how that connects you to your own community. Add the educational experience of traveling abroad and seeing some of the most incredible things you'll ever see, and this program is the real deal.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

how effectively they teach people how to connect with their community through service.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

maybe not specifically *change* anything, but just to put more structure around the in-country teams.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the amazing people you get to share a year of service with.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

diverse, passionate, and FUN!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

genuinely change the way people view humanitarian work. Which would be AWESOME!!

Ways to make it better...

there were a little bit more direction and organization in the international projects.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the same that face any organization. Fundraising, expansion, etc. But of any organization, this one is doing it right!

One thing I'd also say is that...

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month
