Review for Blue Ridge Wildlife Center, Boyce, VA, USA
This team of wildlife heroes is amazing on so many levels. As a volunteer, you will be allowed to perform duties that you could only dream of...they allowed me to hold an owl while they medicated it...they allowed me to access anything within limits of safety for me and the animals. They will teach and show you anything you want to know. The vet is VERY knowledgable and sophisticated, care so much about her mission and is patient despite how busy she is. This foundation deserves so much...they are passionate about their contribution to the local ecosystem. I truly believe in this foundation and their work!

Nothing
Did your volunteer experience have an effect on you? (teaching you a new skill, or introducing new friends, etc.)
Yes! The exposure to the raptors and owls was profound; I learned so much about Virginia wildlife and caring for them!
How did this volunteer experience make you feel?
It made me feel special, privileged, and I felt like I was truly helpful!
