We have sponsored a child in the Philippines for 3 years now and are grateful for the experience. It may make Totoy's life a little brighter and we know it brightens our day when we receive a letter or drawing from this sweet and grateful little boy and his family.
We receive a photo of our sponsored child at least once or twice a year and a report of how his life is going as far as his education level, family status and responsibilities. We get an inside look at what life is like for those living in his area in the Philippines. It's very interesting. Childfund also provides statements of our donations and other ways to contribute but it is NOT overwhelming and there is no pressure at all. Their pie-chart for expenses reflects fairness.
It's good to know that we could affect and improve the life of a child and his family with such a small donation each month.
Overall, Childfund provides adequate communication and updates regarding the child. I like receiving the reminders for Totoy's birthday and Christmas. It makes it easy for me to wish him and his family a good holiday and I'm confident that they get the messages.
